Dr. Frank Sun is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist.  A graduate of Northwestern University Medical School, he completed his specialist training at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Dr. Sun has been practicing in the Gurnee area since 1977.  He has extensive training and experience in all aspects of gynecology, from examinations for abnormal Pap smears and HPV infections to the latest microsurgical and minimally invasive techniques in surgery.

He received his Certification for Advanced Operative Laparoscopy in 1997 and is also Certified in DaVinci Robotic Surgery.

Dr. Sun currently devotes his entire practice to helping women who suffer from conditions that would benefit from minimally invasive surgery, which usually results in smaller scars, less pain, shorter hospital stays and a faster recovery.

This allows most patients, including those who undergo a hysterectomy, to be treated as out-patients and return to the comfort of their own home the same day of surgery.
